What is New?

This blog post is long over due. In large part, it is important to explain what is going on behind the scenes. Recently, I received a couple of emails asking if I had fallen off the earth. Well, to my excitement!! No I have not!! Some reading this post may be asking then, “Where have you been?” Here is a list below to give my readers an insight on what my day consist of (currently):

Not only am I a father, husband, but also a student at Ferris State University. Currently, we are in week 5 of our 16 week semester. Every semester it seems as though time flies by quicker and quicker. There is no doubt that this semester will be the same. A good majority of my time is spent on projects for my program, Television Digital Media Production. I have always been a fan of Public Television. As a child you could find my little body glued to the set watching Mr. Rogers, New Yankee Workshop and This Old House. Currently, my classes are centered around studio production. You can follow this video where I was the “Producer” of a show called Beyond the Campus. The theme of the show was “5th Annual Michigan Energy Conference.” Please take a look and share your thoughts on the production, content or video as a whole.

Some who know me well, know that I strive toward perfection. In recent months, I have also purchased a Laser Engraver machine for the business. While it sometimes takes a mind of it’s own, it is a great experience. Finally, along with paper craft/die cutting, I am able to express some creativity with wood. Here is an example of a laser engraved child’s block I did.

Additionally, I have also been back to work at another business I started in 2002, Village Tackle. My primary reason for revitalizing Village Tackle was because of the large surplus I had in fishing hooks. So, in order to get rid of them, why not start selling them? In the process of starting up this business venture I needed to take a look at what went right, back in 2002, and what went wrong. As any good business owner knows, management is very important to a business success. I will say that having Village Tackle running strong once again allows me to focus on many areas of my training/experience from Ferris State University. Stay tuned to see some pretty cool things come out of learning.

In a nutshell, I would like to say, “Thank you” to all that support my endeavors and your encouraging emails are Greatly Appreciated. I look forward to offering you more files in the very near future.
